Research: Eco-Friendly Shoe Materials

Researcher

08/2023 - Present

I researched agar–lignin composites as sustainable alternatives to petroleum-based materials used in shoe insoles, testing how different lignin concentrations affected drying, moisture control, stability, and antibacterial performance.

Through experimentation, I found that 5–10% lignin offered the strongest balance of moisture control, hygiene, and structural stability—exploring how material innovation can contribute to more sustainable sports products.
