KOREA VISUALLY IMPAIRED MARATHON ASSOCIATION — VOLUNTEER
05/2024 - Present
Running as a guide requires more than keeping pace. Through weekly training sessions and races with visually impaired athletes, I learned to communicate turns, obstacles, elevation changes, road conditions, and surrounding movement in real time—building coordination and trust with every run.
These experiences gave me a firsthand understanding of the accessibility barriers visually impaired runners encounter in sport. What I learned on the road later became the foundation for Blind Runner and BlindWiki, transforming direct experience into ideas for broader accessibility.
